Neokrnjena narava, v katere nepretrgano daljavo je vpeta silhueta arhitekture. Krajina je, podobno kot arhitektura, več kot le fizični prostor, v katerem živimo. Četudi drži, da jo prvenstveno naseljujemo in izkusimo preko telesa, ne gre prezreti močne psihološke komponente. Tako kot seme, položeno v zemljo, brsti drugače glede na lokacijo, tako človek pridobi karakteristike, ki so vezane na lokaliteto krajine, v kateri prebiva – krajina nas s svojim ritmom določa, preoblikuje. K njej se zatekamo v iskanju miru. Naše branje okolice je emotivno, pogosto metaforično; odvisni smo od nje pri iskanju identitete, stabilnosti, varnosti.

V sliki prevladuje atmosfera zatišja. V svojem idealizmu prevprašuje idejo arkadijske krajine – večnega človekovega hrepenenja po mirnem življenju v sožitju z naravo, ki ostaja neizpolnjeno že od antike. Arhitektura, ki jo v njeni nedefinirani belini prepoznamo zgolj zaradi izkušnje, s svojo pravilnostjo kljubuje organskosti narave, a ji je hkrati v svoji vpetosti podrejena. Narava v sliki stoji kot nepogrešljiv del človekovega bivalnega okolja. Svetlo zelene površine, upodobljene s hitrimi, skicoznimi potezami, dinamizirajo stroge geometrične silhuete stavb in ustvarjajo vtis neprestano spreminjajoče se stvarnosti. Gre za iskanje ravnovesja med dinamiko in živostjo organskega sveta na eni strani in občutkom miru, odmaknjenosti in motrenja na drugi.



EMBEDDED

Untouched nature, with the silhouette of architecture embedded in the unbroken expanse. Like architecture, landscape is more than just the physical space in which we live. While it is true that it is primarily inhabited and experienced by the body, a strong psychological component cannot be overlooked. Just as a seed planted in the earth sprouts differently depending on its location, people acquire qualities associated with the locality of the landscape in which they live – the landscape defines us, transforms us through its rhythm. We turn to it in search of peace. The reading of our immediate environment is emotional and often metaphorical. We depend on it to find identity, stability and security.

An atmosphere of stillness prevails in the painting. In its idealism, it challenges the idea of the Arcadian landscape – the eternal human longing for a peaceful life in harmony with nature that has remained unfulfilled since antiquity. The architecture, which in its undefined whiteness is only recognisable on the basis of experience, resists the organicity of nature with its regularity, but at the same time subordinates itself to it by being embedded in it. Nature stands in the painting as an indispensable part of man's living environment. The bright green surfaces, depicted in quick, sketchy strokes, dynamise the strictly geometric silhouettes of the buildings and give the impression of a constantly changing reality. It is the search for a balance between the dynamism and liveliness of the organic world on the one hand and a sense of calm, seclusion and contemplation on the other.







Razstava je del projekta, ki vključuje dve različni postavitvi. Ena je galerijska in poteka od 8. do 29. 9. 2023 v Galeriji Hiše kulture v Pivki. Druga je virtualna na tej strani in je na ogled od 8. 9. 2023 dalje.

The exhibition is part of a project that includes two different set-ups. One is a gallery set-up and takes place from 8 to 29 September 2023 at Hiša kulture gallery in Pivka. The second is a virtual set-up on this website and can be viewed from 8 September 2023 onwards.
